[Wise and Belle are not quite of the First Brood but they are two of the older dragons on Eorzea (they've long since abandoned their original draconic names, because they like these better). They're just a few eons younger than Vrtra, and thus are closest to their cousin. Helped, of course, by the fact that like Vrtra the two of them spend a lot of time in a humanoid avatar. They'd heard about Vrtra doing it, thought it sounded fun, and after a few mortal centuries of trying on avatars and figuring out things like "gender", they eventually settled on their avatars of choice. Belle spends most of her time in the guise of a cute Au Ra lady and Wise as a slightly customized Viera man.

(Scales. He needed scales somewhere, it felt weird being entirely flesh. His hips and thighs have a lovely pattern of scales that are easy to hide.)

They've settled in, of all places, the Dravanian forelands for a time. They heard that there was someone interesting, someone interesting enough to urge Midgardsormr to wake up for a moment. They're settled in Tailfeather, their draconic bodies tucked safely away in Anyx Trine for now. Belle's taken to being a chocobo tender while Wise has set up as a alchemist and scribe for people who want to write letters but can't.

[There's a laugh. And then with zero further warning, Lighter lifted Wise up in one of his arms, adjusting so that Wise could sort of sit comfortable on his forearm, and then smirking up at him.]

You know what they call me in the Sons of Calydon? The undefeated Champion. You don't get a title like that from turning down a challenge.

[Everyone is probably looking now but hey.]

[Everyone is absolutely looking at them, including Belle who just facepalms at her brother.

Wise, meanwhile, just laughs.]

[Belle is with Miyabi it's fine. But Lucy is also facepalming at Lighter, being very privy to what Wise is thanks to also speaking with Vidofnir.]

[Three weeks later, Wise is stepping out of the bungalow they've been given for their stay in Costa del Sol. He had to take extra care to apply a sun protection tonic, because of how pale he is, but he's looking forward to enjoying the sun and the sea.

He's oblivious to all the people ogling him. He doesn't think there's much special about this body.]

[Well, Viera men were rare to see in Eorzea as it was. To say nothing of a Viera man with scales adorning him. Lighter was the sort to only really mind himself and just as much people were ogling him because, well, he cut quite the figure. Muscular but with such a thin waist, a body painted with many a scar from bouts both new and old.

He'd already made his way onto the beach, adjusting his shades to be mindful of the bright sun but that very sun shining wonderfully on his topless body.]

How's the lodging? Nice enough to compare to home?

It's amazing. We have private access to a bathing pool, apparently, and a private kitchen.

It's real fancy. Gotta say it's a little weird for me getting the VIP treatment, but I won't decline it. I prefer having privacy whenever I can.

Same, honestly. Even in Anyx Trine, my things are away from everyone else's because I need my space. But a private bath...

[Said putting a hand on Wise's shoulder. He wasn't gripping hard but heavens did touch really show how strong this human was.]

I was wondering about that, though. You don't have a problem showing off scales like that around people? Male Viera are already pretty rare and you've got a lot of eyes on you. Let me know if they start making you uncomfortable.

[That wasn't supposed to sound threatening considering Lighter would just say "Hey, cut that out" but well. He was built Like That. Small enough to maintain ample speed over a Roegadyn, strong enough to beat another Highlander and any others into the sand.]

Yeah, it's fine. If they know what an Au Ra is, people tend to assume I'm half, and if they don't they assume it was some thaumaturgical accident. Or alchemical, if they see me working. There was that one Lalafell who thought it was an elaborate tattoo, though...

I suppose people aren't really willing to pay attention to something outside the norm. Not to the point they'll report it without a reward, anyway. Au Ra are pretty rare around these parts too. Even Lucy came from the Far East, but they're pretty well known to travel too.
